10 Days of Thank You Drawings
What I've learned and how to participate in my 30 Day Gratitude Drawing Challenge
I began my gratitude practice like most people- with list-making. But, after a while, I was just going through the motions. I was instilling the habit but not feeling much of anything. So, in the hopes of feeling gratitude more deeply, I started drawing the moments I'm thankful for, which has become this 30 Days of Gratitude Drawing Challenge! You can read more about the origins of this project in my recent post:
Now that we're 10 days in, here's what I’ve figured out so far:
I feel more gratitude when I connect creative time to my practice.
My patterns of joy center around moments in nature, specifically near water.
I notice more magic in the little moments that once slipped by unnoticed.
Joining in
I’m thrilled so many of you have expressed interest in participating <3
If you’re sharing on the web, be sure to tag me on Substack or Instagram so I can share your pieces too! Or use the hashtag #30daysofgratitudedrawings.
You can find the gratitude list I’m working from below. Some of these are quite personal to me, so add/remove as you please. What would you add to your list?
Little Glimmers Booklet
Once I’ve completed the challenge in mid November, I’ll include all my drawings and some special extras in a little art booklet. You can pre-order it here:
Thank you all so much for your support for this project! It means so much to me.
Love,
Cait
Gratitude journals are always a good idea, but what I really like about what you've done is the stylistic consistency. I would be all over the map if I did this concentrating more on the idea, but I love the use of the same colors. If I were doing the challenge, I would re-create your image and be grateful simply for blue and how you've done this.
I'm in! November 1st...perfect time to start... and a month with 30 days! thank you for the inspiration. I have been workign to get back in to drawing practise and this is the best way to keep it steady while also reflecting on my MANY blessings. Calming my mind helps with creativity for sure. Thank you!
